FONTANA-EOD Consulting & Engineering GmbH is a limited liability company based in Gersheim. Its managing director is Oliver Wolfgang Fontana. The company is registered with the Saarbrücken Local Court under HRB 111333.
We support project owners, design offices and contractors in preparing and carrying out unexploded ordnance investigations. Our first discussion focuses on your project: which area is affected, what groundworks are planned and what information is already available? This helps establish what needs to be clarified next.

Clear questions before work starts
A site plan, a description of the planned works and any existing information or investigation reports help us assess your enquiry. Please also name the site contact and indicate the intended schedule. You can discuss any missing documents with us.
When planning the work, we agree the commissioned scope of work and interfaces with the project participants. This includes site access, coordination with site management and delivery of the results. The specific project requirements and the findings of earlier investigations need to be considered together.
FONTANA-EOD holds a permit under § 7 SprengG for the activities specified in the permit decision. Details of the permit and the responsible supervisory authority are provided in the legal notice. The permit does not replace an assessment of which services and conditions are required for your project.

Have your project assessed
Whether historical aerial photograph analysis, explosive ordnance surveying, surface surveying using GPR, magnetometry or TDEM, deep-ground surveys, downhole surveys, excavation supervision, area clearance or ordnance recovery is needed depends on the location, ground disturbance, depth, ground and existing documents. An early ordnance assessment provides clarity for tendering, programming, occupational safety and construction.
FONTANA-EOD combines its Section 7 SprengG licence, specialists holding Section 20 SprengG certificates of competence, suitable survey and clearance methods, and traceable documentation. Send the site plan, depth of ground disturbance, construction phase and existing documents for an initial technical assessment.
