Project pathway
The quickest route to the right decision.

Our team brings together executive and project management, specialist planning and compliance, deployment coordination, survey technicians and qualified ordnance clearance staff. For questions about dates, documents or an ongoing contract, contact FONTANA-EOD's deployment coordination, back office or project management team here.
Whether you are contacting us for the first time, adding documents or discussing an ongoing contract, please give the project location and explain your enquiry. For an existing contract, the project name helps us direct it to the right person.

For an initial discussion, provide the project location, a site plan and a short description of the planned groundworks. Where available, add the proposed depths, timescale and existing ordnance records. You can explain any missing information during the discussion.
For an ongoing project, tell us early about changes to working areas, depths or construction sections. State the applicable plan revision and who can be contacted about site access or local coordination. We can then coordinate deployment planning and outstanding technical questions with the relevant project team.
The steps involved in working with us are explained under Project process. For a new enquiry, you can use the contact section.
Responsible personnel have individual certificates of competence and training records. The Certificate of competence under Section 20 SprengG is issued to a named individual; the Licence under Section 7 SprengG covers commercial handling and trade that require a permit. FONTANA-EOD holds such a permit for the activities specified in the official decision.
Each service requires the appropriate qualifications, permitted scope of work and allocation of responsibilities. A contact's role in deployment coordination or project management does not establish that person's individual authorisation under explosives legislation.
Learn more about our technical approach under About us. The Expertise and equipment page describes our technical areas of work.
Send your project question or call our head office. We will discuss which documents are still needed and who will coordinate the next steps.
If you suspect an ordnance find, follow our emergency guidance: stop work in the affected area immediately, do not touch or move the object, leave the danger area, keep your distance, and warn and keep others away without putting yourself at risk. In Germany, notify the police immediately on 110. The business contacts listed here do not replace an emergency service.
Whether historical aerial photograph analysis, explosive ordnance surveying, surface surveying using GPR, magnetometry or TDEM, deep-ground surveys, downhole surveys, excavation supervision, area clearance or ordnance recovery is needed depends on the location, ground disturbance, depth, ground and existing documents. An early ordnance assessment provides clarity for tendering, programming, occupational safety and construction.
FONTANA-EOD combines its Section 7 SprengG licence, specialists holding Section 20 SprengG certificates of competence, suitable survey and clearance methods, and traceable documentation. Send the site plan, depth of ground disturbance, construction phase and existing documents for an initial technical assessment.
